A roguelite space shooter that melds a classic arcade experience with modern action-RPG and character building elements. Your ship rapidly evolves as you defeat enemies, allowing you to shape its abilities and weaponry to your desires in a matter of minutes. Unlike many action-RPGs that can absorb hundreds of hours of time, Nova Drift allows you to take a ship build from inception to execution in a single game session. The culmination of 10 years of mostly solo development and heavy community involvement, Nova Drift features a mechanical complexity and depth rarely seen in a project made by a team so small.
Nova Drift has been in development for over 9 years by Jeffrey Nielson, the main member of Chimeric. Jeffrey handles almost all aspects of development (coding, art, design) except the music and audio, which was created by Miles Tilmann of Pixeljam. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, the game has been slowly moving towards launch with the help of a small but dedicated group of testers and supporters, most of whom can be found on the Nova Drift Discord community.
